The Pirate Queen

I bought this copy for a penny plus postage on E-Bay as I had lost my only copy. I never saw it in the shops as it was only on sale in Ireland. I drew this in 1999 but this edition was published in 2002. This is one of a series of books which were designed for selling in Tourist shops for £1 or £1.50. They are like the old Ladybird books. The other one I illustrated was ' The Highland Clearances'.
I used to see it on sale once a year in Lidl's along with the other books in the series - like Robert the Bruce etc.
